In Chinese Conversation 3, we’ll continue to look at basic phrases, including days of the week, months of the year, and finding out how to ask, "When's your birthday?" We'll also learn how to introduce friends and family, so be sure to bring your photo album! Working with simple Chinese characters will be another fun activity.
For more about Chinese Conversation 3, check out the introduction below.

Chinese Conversation 3
7 Wednesday nights
From June 2 to July 14
7:00 -- 9:15pm
Zhè shì wǒ péng-you 这是我朋友! (This is my friend!) This phase of your Chinese journey will take you to days of the week, months of the year, and dates. You'll learn to make introductions, too, and talk about your
family and friends. You'll also continue working with Chinese characters. Are you keen for more? Then just turn to the class website. It's filled with links to additional language and culture sites. Finally, get ready for a delicious end-of-semester feast. You'll be in charge of telling the waiter what goes on the table, in Chinese, of course!

Too busy for a class, but still want to learn about the Chinese language and culture? No problem! (Méi yǒu wèn-tí 没有问题!) Simply join my Yahoo! group. It's also called "3 Hours A Day." You'll receive 3 to 5 emails per week, all about China. Just contact me at kimfu@umich.edu. I'll add you to the group. And welcome! (Huān-yíng 欢迎!)
