In Chinese Conversation 3, we’ll continue to look at basic phrases, including days of the week, months of the year, and "When's your birthday?" We'll also learn how to introduce friends and family, so bring your photo album! Working with simple Chinese characters will be another fun activity.
For more about Chinese Conversation 3, check out the description below.
Hope to see you in class! (Qī-dài gēn nǐ-men jiàn-miàn! 期待跟你们见面!)
Chinese Conversation 3
7 Tuesday nights
From June 7 to July 19
7:00 -- 9:15pm
Zhè shì wǒ péng-you 这是我朋友! (This is my friend!) Now your Chinese journey will take you to days of the week, months of the year, and dates. You'll learn to make introductions, too, and talk about your family and friends. You'll also continue working with shopping and money. Do you like Chinese characters? Great! (Tài hǎo le! 太好了!) They'll be on the agenda as well. And don't forget the delicious end-of-semester feast. You'll be in charge of telling the waiter what goes on the table -- in Chinese (Zhōng-wén 中文), of course!
************
Too busy for a class, but still want to learn about the Chinese language and culture? No problem! (Méi yǒu wèn-tí 没有问题!) Simply join my Yahoo! group. It's also called "3 Hours A Day." You'll receive 3 to 5 emails every other week, all about China. Just contact me at kimfu@umich.edu. I'll add you to the group. And welcome! (Huān-yíng 欢迎!)
